Transitions exhibition

I am organising an entirely student led exhibition at the triangle space next week titled 'Transitions'. It seemed timely because of the erasmus exchange applications and students talking about travelling abroad to get new ideas etc..It also seemed the most sophisticated way in order to explore my own interests of how travel affects an artists practise and if I could challenge the notion of returning to the homeland to discover your roots or if you could 'find yourself' somewhere completely different. This exhibition would allow artists to discuss their issues concerning displacement/ identity/ home and journeying and hopefully gain insights/understanding through crits of work and how works are placed next to each other in the exhibition.

This exhibition is an entirely student led initiative collecting work from cross year groups and disciplines. This is the first in a series of themed exhibitions showcasing work from across the large community within University of the Arts London.
